Teriyaki Salmon

Teriyaki Salmon is a quick, flavorful dish that feels restaurant-quality but is simple to make at home. The salmon is perfectly cooked and coated in a glossy, sweet soy-based teriyaki sauce. It pairs beautifully with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 tsp ginger (grated)
1 tsp sesame oil
Sesame seeds for garnish
Green onions (sliced)
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the teriyaki marinade. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them, letting them marinate for at least 15–20 minutes. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook the salmon fillets skin-side down first for 4–5 minutes until golden. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until the salmon is just cooked through.
Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened. Spoon the glaze over the salmon and remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, then serve with steamed rice and vegetables.
Tips
Don’t overcook salmon — it should be moist and tender.
Use skin-on fillets for added flavor and crispiness.
