Stuffed Bell Peppers are a hearty, colorful dish that’s perfect for family dinners. Bell peppers are filled with a flavorful mixture of seasoned ground meat, rice, and aromatic vegetables. The result is a comforting, wholesome meal that looks as good as it tastes.
Ingredients
4 large bell peppers (any color)
400g ground beef or turkey
1 cup cooked rice
1 onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup tomato sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
½ cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add ground meat and cook until browned, then stir in cooked rice, tomato sauce, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
Stuff the mixture into the hollowed bell peppers, pressing gently to fill. Arrange the peppers in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top if desired, and bake another 10 minutes until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted. Serve warm.
Tips
Parboil peppers for 5 minutes before stuffing to reduce baking time.
