Shrimp Scampi is a quick, flavorful pasta dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions. Juicy shrimp are sautéed with garlic and butter, then tossed with pasta and a bright lemony sauce. It’s elegant, simple, and packed with bold, fresh flavors.
Ingredients
500g shrimp (peeled and deveined)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
½ cup white wine or chicken broth
Juice of 1 lemon
¼ tsp red pepper flakes
300g linguine or spaghetti
Salt and pepper
Fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant but not browned. Add the shrimp and sauté until pink and opaque, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Pour in white wine (or chicken broth) and lemon juice, stirring to combine and deglaze the pan. Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to coat evenly. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Tips
Don’t overcook shrimp — they cook quickly and remain tender.
Use fresh lemon juice for a brighter flavor.
