Chicken Tikka Masala is a beloved Indian classic that balances warmth and creaminess. The tender chicken and aromatic sauce make it perfect with rice or naan.
Ingredients
500g boneless chicken (cubed)
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp tikka masala paste
1 onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 cup tomato puree
½ cup heavy cream
1 tsp garam masala
Salt and oil
Instructions
Marinate the chicken in yogurt and tikka masala paste for at least one hour, or overnight for maximum flavor. Heat a little oil in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion until soft and golden, then add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until lightly browned on all sides. Stir in tomato puree and simmer gently for 10–15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and garam masala, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the chicken evenly. Serve with steamed rice or warm naan.
Tips
Marinate longer for more tender, flavorful chicken.
Adjust spices according to your heat preference.
